So much for Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony’s big Valentine’s Day demise. (Or so we’re being led to believe…)

In the face of reports that the duo have been fighting and are headed for a split, E! News has learned exclusively that J.Lo and her hubby are spending a few days together in San Juan, Puerto Rico, where Anthony is scheduled to perform as part of his ongoing tour.

Two days ago, Lopez and Anthony met up with friends and family for dinner at Marmalade, a trendy, upscale restaurant  in the old-town section of San Juan.

“Jennifer and Marc looked very happy, so it is hard for me to believe the rumors that their marriage is in trouble,” the eatery’s general manager, Trace Donaldson, tells E! News. “They were laughing and seemed to be having a great time.”

The couple were joined by a group that included Lopez’s sister, Lynda.

On Monday, the Out of Sight star’s rep denied to E! a New York Daily News report that had the seemingly cozy couple planning to announce their breakup right after Anthony’s Feb. 14 show at Madison Square Garden.

“There is no merit to the article,” the rep said.

Lopez was spotted Dec. 26 boarding a private flight straight to Puerto Rico out of Van Nuys Airport.

While a morning report alleged the duo of more than four years were in the early stages of premeditating a public—not to mention rather ironic—Valentine’s Day split, Lopez’s rep maintains that everything is just peachy in J.Lo land. “There is no merit to the article,” Lopez’s publicist, Leslie Sloane Zelnik, told E! News of the New York Daily News report. While rumors of marital discord are nothing new for the couple, speculation of an impending split was ramped up earlier this month when Lopez turned up at the Los Angeles premiere of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button without her wedding ring. Or husband. She was, however, photographed reunited with the former during a shopping trip in Beverly Hills last week. As it is, back in October the duo further solidified their union—and no doubt confounded their doubters—by renewing their wedding vows in Las Vegas.

When Caroline Kennedy was asked by NY1’s Dominic Carter about Rep. Gary Ackerman’s comparison of her to Jennifer Lopez, Kennedy responded:

“I admire the journey J. Lo has traveled. I’ve been to a school in the Bronx near the house she grew up in and so I actually have a lot of admiration for her.”

Kennedy also added, “She looks pretty good.”

Beyond that, however, Kennedy said, “in terms of public policy and as we spend our adults lives and I don’t think there is really much we have in common.”

 Beverly Hills, Dec 23 2008: Jennifer Lopez was spotted in Beverly Hills doing some shopping at Victoria’s Secret picking up some lingerie for the Christmas holiday possibly to spice up her marriage to Marc Anthony and to celebrate the New Year.

Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony may have renewed their wedding vows a mere three months ago, but their rocky romance will likely bite the dust right after Valentine’s Day, says an insider.

“Marc and Jennifer are planning on announcing their divorce right after Marc’s show at Madison Square Garden on Feb. 14,” a friend of the couple tells us. “Jennifer is planning on joining Marc onstage for a surprise duet. Things haven’t been right for a while now, and they thought it would be a bittersweet farewell.”

Definitely one for theatrics in arenas, J.Lo confessed her pregnancy at a sold-out show in Miami during her El Cantante tour in November 2007 and will employ the same shock value a second time around.

“They’re definitely planning a clean break in February,” the source insists.

The couple, who have been married just over four years and are the parents of 10-month-old twins Max and Esme, renewed their vows in a surprise Las Vegas ceremony back in October, but sources close to the pair say that it didn’t help, and that their relationship has been on a downward spiral in recent months. Lopez, 39, set tongues wagging when she arrived at “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” premiere in early December without her wedding or engagement rings.

Similarly, Marc, 40, has been spotted ditching his own wedding band at N.Y.C. hot spots such as Bungalow 8. He was also caught partying — bandless — with pal Eva Longoria Parker at Lavo in Las Vegas on Dec. 8.

“They were there along with Russell Crowe and his brother Bigram [Zayas]. Marc had been needing to blow off some steam for a while, and this was a good chance to do it. He was trying to be on his best behavior because there were photographers around, so he didn’t get too crazy, but he had fun without Jennifer,” a spy tells us. “Marc’s ready to move on. The fighting has been too much for him to handle lately.”

A rep for Anthony would only say that “none of the rumors are true”; a rep for Lopez didn’t respond.
Unfortunately for Jenny from the Block, this is one unfunny Valentine.

These tabloid stories keep getting wilder and wilder lately. According to the New York Post:
Jennifer Lopez sent her assistant to spy on her husband Marc Anthony. The 39-year-old ‘Get Right’ singer - who gave birth to twins Max and Emme in February - allegedly wanted to make sure Anthony didn’t stray while he was on tour. A source told the New York Post newspaper: “She wanted reports back so he didn’t cheat on her.” The couple - who have recently been photographed without their wedding rings on - are reportedly selling their Bel Air home where they tied the knot in a surprise ceremony in 2004. It seems Jennifer isn’t the only one spying. Friends claim Marc is constantly checking the star’s phone records and wardrobe. Another source said: “He’s very, very controlling of her. The skirts aren’t as short. You don’t see so much of that booty anymore.” Marc was seen flirting with women in New York and Las Vegas nightclubs last week, reportedly complaining Jennifer was “making me miserable”. Marc’s publicist denies the marriage is in trouble, insisting: “They’re doing great.”

Another set of presenters for the 66th Annual Golden Globe Awards has been uncovered. Through a press release outed on Friday, December 19, Golden Globes-nominee Jennifer Lopez and Academy Awards-nominee Salma Hayek are named among those who will give away the golden statuettes. In addition to the two A-listers, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association has also appointed comedians, Amy Poehler and Seth Rogen, to do the job as well. All four of them will be joining the previously-announced presenters that include Simon Baker, Drew Barrymore and Sacha Baron Cohen. The 66th Annual Golden Globe Awards will take place Sunday, January 11, 2009 at The Beverly Hilton. It will be broadcast live on NBC at 8 P.M. EST. The nominees for this year Golden Globes include “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button”, “Wall-E” and “The Dark Knight”. Aside from honoring the best in feature films and television, the awards will also hand out Cecil B. DeMille Award for Steven Spielberg.

Marc Anthony was quick to squelch rumors about trouble in paradise - or at least, Brookville - after a celebrity magazine reported his marriage to Jennifer Lopez was at a “breaking point.” “They are doing great,” a spokeswoman for Anthony said yesterday, after reports surfaced that the singer was flirting with a woman at two New York City nightspots earlier this month. “Any comments implying that they are having problems and that Marc behaved in a questionable manner while out with friends last week are absolutely false,” Anthony spokeswoman Blanca Lasalle told Newsday.

Last week Jen hit the premiere of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button solo and sans ring, while Marc partied in Sin City without his ring right after Thanksgiving. The mag also claims Marc is “very, very controlling,” even asking J.Lo to cover up her enviable assets and keeping tabs on her phone calls. It also reports that Jen’s BFF Leah Remini wants them to break up. Reps didn’t immediately respond to requests for comment.

Jennifer Lopez has come on board to star in the romantic comedy Plan B for CBS’ nascent movie division. The project involves a single woman who attempts to conceive via artificial insemination and winds up in a quandary after she finds romance. Production is scheduled to start in the spring, making it one of the first projects to get a green light at CBS Films. Lopez has starred in a number of comedy hits such as “Maid in Manhattan” and “Monster In-Law,” and is set to star in the heist picture “The Governess” for Columbia.
