J.Lo really does have a glow. Even at 8 in the morning on a Saturday, the singer-actress also known as Jennifer Lopez was chirpy, affable and sexy. She bounded on the stage at Key Biscayne’s Crandon Park to kick off the March of Dimes March for Babies 2009. Dressed in tight white jeans and a hoodie, Lopez, 39, looked like anything but a harried new mom, with huge movie-star sunglasses, dazzling smile and long curls blowing in the wind. The 5,000-plus crowd — peppered with parents of premature infants — went wild. Especially when the Bronx bombshell looked at a fan directly and said, ”I love you, too, baby,” and giggled.

What was someone of Lopez’s star magnitude doing there? Fourteen-month-old twins Max and Emme (with husband Marc Anthony) were born perfectly healthy, but she has done her homework on keeping them that way. Her new cause: raising awareness of pertussis, more commonly known as whooping cough, through her role as spokeswoman for The Sounds of Pertussis Campaign. She’s fronting a PSA on getting adults immunized for the disease, so they don’t unwittingly pass it on to their kids. ”Like every parent, once you hold your baby in your arms you know the focus of your life completely shifts,” said the star of the upcoming film The Back-Up Plan. “I needed to know everything there was to know about keeping my children healthy and safe and well.” Lopez — who completed a triathlon in September for charity — did not partake in the four-mile beach walk. But, hey, no one could blame her for wanting her beauty rest.

Jennifer has made the 100 Most Beautiful list by People Magazine! The longest list is “Celebrity Smiles,” and that’s where readers will find many of the perennial faces on People’s list. Among them are Angelina Jolie, George Clooney, Hugh Jackman, Matthew McConaughey, Sandra Bullock, Drew Barrymore, Beyonce Knowles, Jennifer Lopez, Zac Efron, Halle Berry, Carrie Underwood, Heidi Klum, Brooke Shields and Eva Longoria. Noureen DeWulf has been cast opposite Jennifer Lopez in CBS Films’ romantic comedy “The Back-Up Plan.”

The busy actress also will appear in two summer comedies: “Ghosts of Girlfriends Past,” which hits theaters Friday, and “The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard,” coming out in August.

In “Plan,” about a wannabe mother who meets a promising romantic prospect on the same day she undergoes artificial insemination, DeWulf will play Daphne, a hip downtown co-worker at Lopez’s pet store.

Michaela Watkins and Alex O’Loughlin also star. Kate Angelo (”Will & Grace”) wrote the screenplay, and Alan Poul (”Six Feet Under”) is directing.

The movie will be CBS Films’ first feature release and is due in theaters in January.

While she may make the world smile with romantic comedies and dance tracks, Jennifer Lopez is all bad cop when it comes to raising kids. RadarOnline.com caught up with Lopez pal Leah Remini at Saturday’s celebration of the Natural Resource Defense Council in Los Angeles, where she tells us J Lo lays down the law with little ones.

“Jennifer puts her foot down. You should see [Lopez and Remini's daughter Sofia] having an argument, it’s hysterical.”

Remini told us about a recent playdate with Sofia and Lopez’s one-year-old son Max.

“Max is starting to bite because he’s just getting teeth and Jennifer will say ‘Max, no biting,’ and Sofia said ‘You don’t tell babies not to bite.’” Lopez wans’t having it. She told little Sofia that Max can’t bite or “he’s going to hurt his sister!’”

Conversely, Remini is a total softie when it comes to Lopez’s Max and twin sister Emme. “[I] let them do whatever they want. When I go over there I take all her Tupperware out of her kitchen, get it all on the floor.” Babies amused by Tupperwear? Looks like love really doesn’t cost a thing.

An unlikely feud is simmering between Jennifer Aniston and Jennifer Lopez. After focusing on her music career and motherhood, J-Lo is making a return to movies with a film called Plan B about a woman trying to get pregnant.

But she is said to be seething that Friends star Aniston is starring in an almost identical movie called The Baster that J-Lo fears could eclipse her own.

‘The last thing J-Lo wants is to have Aniston overshadow her,’ reports a Tinseltown spy. ‘There’s been some mud-slinging, with J-Lo claiming Jen took her idea.’

The proud mother of twins helped cut the ribbon at the March for Babies walk, benefiting premature-born infants. Jennifer talked about her two twins, but who were not in attendance.

When you don’t have a movie or record to promote, it’s always nice to have your twins to talk about when making an appearance on Rachael Ray.

That’s just what Jennifer Lopez did on Friday as she cooed about her two 1-year-old bundles of joy, Max and Emme, revealing how her daughter not only gets her attitude from mom, but “she’s got my little body, it’s crazy.”

As for her son, Jennifer says that she and hubby Marc Anthony “are always claiming he’s got my head and he’s got my mouth,” not to mention she’s “like thank God [Emme's] got my nose!”

Nothing like a little heredity competition when it comes to parenting. “That’s the nature of who we are, we can’t help it,” she says. “We’re both trying to steal it all.”

Comic Michaela Watkins, who recently joined “Saturday Night Live,” has been cast in the romantic comedy “The Back-Up Plan” opposite Jennifer Lopez and Alex O’Loughlin. Watkins will play Mona, the longtime best friend of Lopez’s character, a fed-up wannabe mother who meets a promising romantic prospect the same day she receives artificial insemination. Kate Angelo (”Will & Grace”) wrote the screenplay, and Alan Poul (”Six Feet Under”) is directing. The movie will be CBS Films’ first feature release, set to hit theaters in January. Watkins is a member of the Groundlings comedy troupe. Her TV credits include “The New Adventures of Old Christine,” “Californication” and “Medium.” Her next feature is the comedy “The Prankster.”

Jennifer Lopez says her 14-month-old daughter Emme has some divalike tendencies – and guess where she learned them? “We call her Emme-tude because we’re like, ‘She’s giving us Emme-tude right now,’ ” Lopez, 39, tells Rachael Ray in an interview scheduled to air on her talk show Friday. “She gets that from her dad. I’m kidding – she gets it from me.” As for twin son, Max, Lopez says she and husband Marc Anthony think he also favors his mother in some ways. “Me and Marc are always claiming he’s got my head and he’s got my mouth,” she says.

“You want it all to be you,” Lopez says, adding, [Emme's] got my little body.” “That’s the nature of who we are; we can’t help it. We’re both trying to steal it all.” One thing Lopez enjoys most, she says, is perceiving the unique qualities of each child. “They’re very different,” she says. “You can really see it, even from when they’re really young.” How would she describe Max? “He’s more like the visceral boy – running, knocking things down, eating,” Lopez says.

And Emme? “She takes a step and stops and picks things up and she’s like ‘I don’t know, maybe I’ll eat this.’ … She’s really kind of indecisive but at the same time very precise.” Ever doting, Lopez says she made a big to-do about the kids’ first birthday in February. “We did it in my backyard in L.A.,” she says. “We had a BBQ/carnival type thing. Nothing like Mommy Dearest … It was more just like we had snow cones and a little jumpy.”

“They had the best time at their birthday party,” she says. “I didn’t think a 1-year-old could have fun at a birthday party. But they did; they loved it. I think I did a good job, and they’re going to remember.”

Jennifer Lopez was looking real good from the front as she posed for paps in front of the St. Regis in NYC — but all anyone really wanted her to do was to start walking away.

Pertussis (whooping cough) is a highly contagious bacterial disease that can be fatal for infants. It creates a sticky, thick mucus in the airways that makes it hard to breathe, eat, and drink. Pertussis is also known as whooping cough because people with the disease often make a loud “whoop” sound as they struggle to breathe through their narrowed airways between coughing spasms.
