A year ago singer, actress, designer and entreprenuer Jennifer Lopez put her busy career on the backburner for her and husband Marc Anthony’s newborn twins, Max and Emme. The twins turned one Feb. 22, and Lopez is ready to go back to work. Getting her J. Lo drive back took a lot of effort, she said today on “Good Morning America,” and completing a triathlon six months after she gave birth was a big part of that. “Your body becomes sort of this temple for the babies,” Lopez told Diane Sawyer today. “I needed to do it [the triathalon] to feel like Jennifer again. It was really great for me physically, emotionally, mentally. It got me thinking about achieving again, doing again.” Lopez, who turns 40 in July, has a movie on the horizon — a romantic comedy called “The Back-up Plan,” according to her Web site.
In the movie, she plays a single woman who turns to artificial insemination to answer her ticking biological clock. She’s also raising awareness about pertussis, the potentially fatal disease better known as whooping cough. Visit www.soundsofpertussis.com to find out more about the vaccine. Pertussis cases were virtually nonexistent in the United States after a vaccine was developed. Reported cases of whooping cough hit a low of about 1,000 in 1976. That number has been on the rise over the past 30 years, and in 2005, 25,000 cases were reported, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. According to a CDC study of the disease, Hispanic infants were particularly hard hit by the disease, though there is no clear reason why. Immunization from the whooping cough vaccine wears off over time, usually between five and 10 years, so adults can spread the highly contagious disease to infants. Lopez said babies most often contract the disease from their parents, and it can go undetected. “We’ll be OK, but it could be fatal to the babies,” she said.

Despite rumors of a pending divorce between Lopez and husband Marc Anthony, the singer-actress indicated that all was well in the marriage and with the twins.
Lopez and Anthony, a 40-year-old singer, have been married since 2004. He has three other children from previous relationships. Lopez told “Access Hollywood” that she and Anthony talk about having more kids “all the time.” “Marc says, ‘What are we waiting for?’ I say, ‘To recuperate!’ I need a minute. Let me get something out there first — a song, a movie. I definitely want more kids, though,” she told the celebrity TV show. Both Max and Emme are walking and “babbling,” she told “GMA.” “It’s mama when they want something, and dada just for fun,” said Lopez. “Marc makes them laugh.” Jennifer Lopez is working with the March of Dimes and a drug company to raise awareness of the importance of the pertussis vaccine for new and expectant parents.
We all wouldn’t mind both, but which one are the fans looking forward to more in the immediate future?

A fundraiser for The Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club features a decorator show house, and look what they included!:
Today she’s Jenny from a private road in Brookville. But as the 2009 Kips Bay Decorator Show House is reminding the public, Jennifer Lopez really used to be from a block in her native Bronx. A framed photo of Lopez sits on a desk in one of the rooms at the show house, a fund-raiser for the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club which opens today on the Upper East Side. The prop is an ode to Lopez, one of Kips Bay’s most famous alums. The Manhattan design firm of Paula + Martha designed the room — a fantasy office for the executive director of the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club, which serves disadvantaged children. Many of the materials used by the designers were natural or inexpensive or even both — like the distinctive burlap embroidered in bright colors with slogans by some of the kids currently in Kips Bay programs. Lopez performed at the Castle Hill-based Kips Bay for the “Today” show in 2002 — on the same stage where she danced as a youth.

Jennifer Lopez couldn’t keep her famous derriere in her seat at Marc Anthony’s concert Thursday at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Fla.
Wearing a grass skirt, the singer, 39, jumped up, threw her arms in the air and sang along as her husband performed to a sold-out crowd. (Lopez sat with pals in a special VIP area next to the stage.)
Although Lopez and Anthony have had marital woes in the past (Lopez attended some events last year without her wedding ring), they seem to be on better terms these days.
Asked if their relationship was going strong, Anthony recently told Usmagazine.com, “I think so.” Added Lopez, “Yes.”
The last romantic thing he’s done for his wife?
“Oh gosh,” Anthony told Us. “What haven’t I tried?”

This is the weirdest tabloid story we’ve read from a Star Magazine. They’ll make up anything! :
Jennifer Lopez has found herself in quite the hairy situation at her luxurious crib!
The diva has so many expensive wigs that she’s devoted an entire room to them in the Long Island, N.Y., mansion she shares with her husband, Marc Anthony.
“Jennifer keeps the door locked and hardly ever lets anyone in the room, not even Marc,” a source tells Star of the beautiful space decorated in caramel and gold tones. “The shelves on the walls are full of plastic heads holding the best hairpieces money can buy.”
The wigs filling the fashionista’s hairy haven cost thousands of dollars, the source adds, because each is exquisitely crafted from real human hair.
“Jennifer spares no expense when it comes to her looks,” the insider explains. “Since her actual hair is shoulder-length and fairly thin, the wigs allow her to always be experimenting with new styles.”
And she’s not afraid to go all out!
“She has short, long and superlong looks, but clip-on buns are one of her favorite tricks,” notes that source. “Hers are so elaborate, they seem to take on a life of their own!”
American singer and actress Jennifer Lopez has won a cybersquatting case against a U.S. web operator who registered two Internet addresses that used her name for commercial profit, a U.N. agency said on Thursday. The disputed domain names, jenniferlopez.net and jenniferlopez.org, directed users to a website that generated paid advertising revenues, according to the ruling issued by the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO). An independent arbitrator ordered the domain names transferred within 10 days to the Jennifer Lopez Foundation, which filed the complaint. The charitable foundation promotes better access to healthcare for women and children.
A man based in Phoenix, Arizona, named as Jeremiah Tieman, registered both domain names and asserted that he ran primarily a fan site devoted to providing news and information about the star, according to the arbitrator, Williams Towns. Tieman “registered two domain names that are identical to the complainant’s mark and has used those domain names to attract Internet users to a website from which (he) generates pay-per-click advertising,” Towns said in his ruling. The American arbitrator found that the registration had been for commercial use and was in bad faith.
